Mr. K. Manikanta, who works as a scientific assistant engineer explained the way they monitor the wind speed, humidity of the air, measuring temperature by using a thermometer, measuring the rain water level with the help of a rain gauge and measuring the atmospheric pressure using a barometer on a day basis and make a record of the data .He also informed that the temperature data is updated 8 times a day. The children came to know the importance of climate and its impact on the future of this planet and the way it affects our life..
With this trip the children understood the way the people of the metrological department work throughout India.They also came to know that the head office is in New Delhi and over 400 meteorological offices are there in India.
This department helps us to measure the frequency earthquake with a sesmograph. It's a great learning experience for the children.
