As we know , the 4th day of Bhadrapadha Month of Indian calender celebrates the Birth of Lord Vinayaka . The Elephnat God was all happy finding himself crafted beautifully in clay by the Prakashites. Students at Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan – HS, Tuni geared up well before the day of Vinayaka Chavithi, as they learnt the nuances of the art of idol making from the craft teacher , Mr. Hari . They in turn taught and helped the kids of Nursery and Primary in making the idols of clay. They also advocated the benefits of using clay idols against plaster of paris as they distributed the idols to the Government Officials and important people of the town. Each student carried his/her own hand crafted idol home and celebrated the festival happily.
