Learning Outcome:- Knowing the steps in the agriculture
We had a field trip to fields at Ramabadrapuram to know about farming. We saw different types of crops such as rice, sugar cane, coconut and almonds orchids. We knew the steps of growing crops through the farmer.
Those are .
1. Ploughing: It means prepare the soil by digging
2. Sowing: to put the seeds inside the soil.
3. Watering: Providing water to plants regularly.
4. Harvesting: cutting and collecting crops.
After 90 days the plants become ready for harvest.
By this trip we came to know that farmers take care of crops by giving right amount of water, nutrients and protect them from attack by pests.
We invited one of our student, Vivek’s family along with his grandparents. They gave information about their family and celebrations. They explained how they celebrate festivals and rituals together. His brother Abhishek told a story.
Krishnasthami was celebrated on a grand scale at Sri Prakash Educational Institutions. Kinder Garden childeren from LKG to 2 nd class participated in these celebrations. Students dressed up as Gopikas and Krishnas added colour to the occasion. Kolatam which was performed by the students drew the attention of the public, speaking on this occasion academic incharge said the celebrations were performed in order to make the students know about our culture. Senior Principal sri MVVS Murthy and others participated in this event.
