Lakshmi Swetha and Satya Akshobhya (Koti sisters), students of Sri Prakash, spread the message and spirit of Annamaya by rendering 101 gems of the saint’s keerthanas non-stop at Sri Prakash Vidya Soudham, Payakaraopet from 9.00 a.m. onwards on 15 Sept, Sunday. Chinta Shyam Kumar, Shyam Jadoogar, a world-renowned magician and popular psychologist, will be the chief guest of the occasion, Special Guests Sri K. Ramarao, Circle Inspector, Yelamanchilli Circle and Sri KRJ Sharma, retd Telugu Pandit and cineactor. Sri Ch VK Narasimharao, Secretary and Correspondent and Sri Ch Vijay Prakash, Joint Secretary inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. The melodious tributes to Annamayya, in all 101 keerthanas, started with ADIGO ALLADIVO SRI HARIVASAM and ended with JAYAMANGALAM NEEKU with no break from morning till evening. Chinta Shyam Kumar is also the representative of ‘world record holder of the book of state records.’ He was all praise for the Koti Sisters who tried for the world with 101 gems of Annamayya. In his message he said that fine arts would help in the all round development of youngsters. Cine actor Sri KRJ Sarma in his message encouraged students to come forward in extra curricular activities as well apart from their regular studies. Sri K Ramarao, the special guest, wondered how long it would have taken the young sisters to practise and dare to attempt such a novel record. Sri Ch V K Narasimharao appreciated the parents of Lakshmi Swetha and Akshobhya and urged all the parents around to note this wonderful effort and to ensure they would do the same with their children as well. Sri Ch Vijay Prakash assured that Sri Prakash Educational Institutions would keep working for the betterment of society through such noble encouragement. The 500 and odd audience present on this memorable occasion heaped encomiums on the Koti sisters for their noble pious attempt. Sri Ch V K Narasimharao congratulated the young talents and later presented mementoes to them. In the fitness of things their effort was recognized by State Book of records and entered as a record there in. Incidentally both the sisters were honored with the title “SUJANA PUTRI”
