The festival of Vasanth Panchami holds great significance in Indian culture, as it marks the worship of Goddess Saraswati, the embodiment of knowledge. This auspicious day also heralds the arrival of spring. At Sriprakash, Tuni, students celebrated this festive occasion with fervor. The young scholars from LKG to Grade 2 dressed in vibrant yellow and white attire, symbolizing the colors of knowledge and purity. They offered worship to Goddess Saraswati with yellow flowers and chanted slokas in her praise, seeking blessings for academic excellence. Teachers shared insightful articles highlighting the importance of Vasanth Panchami, emphasizing its significance in initiating studies in young children. Aksharabhyasam was initiated for 10 students of play school today. As part of the tradition, the encouraging highlight for our students is that they placed their pencils and pens at the idol of Goddess Saraswati, seeking her blessings and enlightenment. These writing instruments were later distributed to Primary and Grade 10 students. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from teachers, students, and parents of the pre-primary section. The celebration concluded with the distribution of holy prasadam, imparting a sense of spiritual connection and community bonding.

We are happy to share that Sriprakash Vidyaniketan CBSE TUNI students participated in "Kriya" – 11th State level interschool cultural competitions under Sub-junior, Junior and Senior categories held on 28th and 29th of December at JNTU, Kakinada. 5 students took part in the competitions from CBSE TUNI with joy and zest. Our students K. Sahasra (Grade-4) won first place in Instrumental Music -Solo (Sub-Juniors) and K.Pauline Kelly (Grade-8) secured second place in Solo Singing(Seniors)

Christmas eve celebrations

Christmas eve was celebrated with great enthusiasm and zeal at Sriprakash, Tuni. The teachers and students narrated the story of the birth of Christ and the message of life. The kids were more excited about the celebration of the fest. Our tiny tots of Kindergarten spread the essence of Christmas spirit by dressing up as Santaclaus and angels. The students brought the festive mood to the campus with their mesmerizing carols on Jesus. The special attraction of the Celebration was Christmas tree. The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was not only amply visible on the faces of the children during the decoration of the Christmas tree but also reverberating in their carols and dancing to the tunes of jingling Merry Christmas.

Achievement in Ramanujan Talent Test

We are happy to share that Thummalapally Harika of Grade- 3 Tuni CBSE stood District first in the 35th Ramanujan National Mathematics Competition organized by A Non- Profitable Voluntary Mathematical Service Organization, Ramachandrapuram. The Preliminary test was conducted on 15th September 2024. Twenty-six students from Grades-3 to 8 were selected for the final exam. The final exam was conducted on 17th November 2024. T. Harika, Grade-3 stood District first in the East Godavari district.

HANDS-ON FARMING ACTIVITIES

As part of ongoing effort to promote experiential learning, Grade-3 students were taken to nearby fields in Rambhadrapuram. This trip aimed to provide students with a first-hand understanding of farming practices and the importance of agriculture in our daily lives.
The objective of the field trip was to educate students about the various aspects of farming, including crop selection, soil preparation, irrigation methods and harvesting techniques. The trip also sought to promote awareness about the challenges faced by farmers. During the trip, students had the opportunity to interact with the local farmers and learn about their experiences, challenges and successes. They also participated in hands -on -activities such as planting saplings, weeding and harvesting crop.

Prakashites Excel in Eenadu Drawing Competition:-

The students of Grade-8 participated in the Drawing competition conducted by the most circulated Telugu newspaper Eenadu. The topics were- *Air Pollution and *Environmental Protection. All the participants tested their skills in drawing on both the given topics. S. Satya Sri Aswitha won the first place in the competition.

We are so glad to share that SPVN-TUNI-CBSE students participated in different events such as Fancy Dress, Drawing, Bhagavadgita slokas, Elocution, Solo singing and games competitions conducted from 25th October 2024 to 29th November 2024 by Rotary Club - Tuni as 'Mega Youth Events of New Generation Month-2024' in Sub juniors, Juniors and Seniors.
*U. Lasya Priya of Grade-6 stood first in solo singing under Juniors category.
* A. Namasvi of Grade-4 bagged second place in Bhagavadgita slokas under Juniors category.
*Kundana of Grade-4 bagged second prize in Fancy Dress under Juniors category.
*M. Lakshmi Nikhita of Grade-8 bagged second place in solo singing under Seniors category.
* Shanvitha of Grade-1 secured third place in Bhagavadgita slokas under Sub-Juniors category.

As part of experiential learning journey, our Grade -1 children visited Ashraya old age home and Nursery at Tuni. The caretakers warmly welcomed the children and shared their life style.The children gained knowledge about taking care of the elderly people, respecting elders and the importance of plants. The children distributed fruits to them .They blessed the children with a heartful smile.The children expressed their gratitude to their valuable sharing of knowledge and experiences. The children explored the different varieties of plants and trees in the nursery which is close to the Old age home.

As part of 57th National library week celebrations various events were conducted from 14th November to 20th November by the District Library organization, East Godavari at Government Library, Tuni. Our students participated in various co-curricular competitions, which included Drawing, Essay writing, Elocution and Quiz. S. Deena of Grade-8 stood 1st in Elocution under junior category. The student was appreciated with a certificate and memento.
