 Christmas celebrations are a vibrant blend of traditions, joy, and togetherness. Our pre-primary children celebrated Christmas on 24th December with immense joy and enthusiasm . The celebrations began with an engaging introduction to the significance of Christmas, highlighting its importance and symbolism. The story of Jesus' birth and the spirit of giving were beautifully narrated, setting the tone for a wonderful celebration. One of the highlights of the event was the Christmas tree, adorned with sparkling lights, colorful ornaments, and festive decorations. The children enthusiastically participated in decorating the tree, learning about teamwork and creativity in the process. Through Christmas stories, activities, and songs, our young learners absorbed valuable moral lessons, including: - Kindness and generosity  Honesty and integrity  Respect and empathy for others  The importance of family and togetherness The celebration was a wonderful opportunity for our pre-primary children to develop essential social skills, such as sharing, taking turns, and cooperating with peers. The festive atmosphere was filled with laughter, excitement, and joy, creating unforgettable memories for our young students and staff alike.

Food sharing is a wonderful way to encourage sociable sharing and cultural exchange among our little learners. Students came to school in colourful dresses. Our enthusiastic little ones  brought a variety of yummy food items, which they shared with their classmates during lunch. The Jolly lovers enjoyed the delicious and palatable food prepared by their parents. Finally they had a fun-filled experiential learning day in the school.

Children's Day is celebrated with great enthusiasm and excitement on November 14th, marking the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The day was filled with thrilling activities.Students showcased their talents through songs and dances. Students participated in the drawing competition themed “Save Nature” to express their imagination and creativity. Treasure hunt is conducted clues and riddles led the participants on an exciting journey across the school campus, which helped the children in problem solving skills and team work.The winning teams were awarded with prizes. It was a resounding success, filled with enjoyment, excitement, and learning.

Learning Outcome: Analyze the purpose of various public places:

To enhance learning through real-world experiences, a field trip was organized for Grade 1 students to explore their community. This outing provided students with hands-on experience as they visited several public places, including a library, bus stand, supermarket, and police station.

During the trip, children engaged with people working in these places, learning firsthand how each public place serves a unique role in the community. These interactions helped the children not only understand the purpose of these places but also develop important social skills.

The children had the opportunity to meet:

Superintendent Mr. Prasad at the bus stand,

Cashier Mr. Madhu Babu at the supermarket,

Sub-Inspector Mr. Purushottam at the police station, and

Librarian Mr. Srinivasa Rao at the library.

Each profession explained the specific rules and etiquette that need to be followed in public spaces. At the end of the trip, the students expressed their gratitude, thanking each individual for their valuable time and insights.

As Vinayaka chavithi approaches, the students of Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan have initiated to celebrate the festival in a way that shows love for our planet. They have crafted eco-friendly idols of vinayaka using natural material. The idea is to encourage everyone to use materials like Earthen Clay to minimize the pollution caused by substances like plaster of paris and chemical paints.Students made their own idols and understood the importance of preserving the environment. Teachers explained the importance of celebrating festivals in a manner that respects and protects nature. Let us all celebrate Vinayaka Chavithi with responsibility towards our planet ‘The Mother Earth’.

On the occasion of Sri Krishna Janmashtami in Sri Prakash vidyaniketan came alive with the vibrant celebrations, led by the enthusiastic Nursery students and staff. The festival which symbolizes the triumph of good over evil and the end of darkness, was celebrated with great zeal and devotion. The children dressed in ethnic attire, brought to life various characters from Krishna's life, including Radha, Krishna ,Balarama ,Kuchela ,Yashoda and Vasudeva. A special cradle was prepared for baby Krishna, and the children took turns  gently rocking it while singing lullabies. The heartfelt gesture was a beautiful way to connect with the divine and express their love and devotion. One of the highlights of the celebration was the traditional Matka event. An earthen pot filled with curd, butter ,milk and honey was hung high.  The little Krishna's of the school enthusiastically  participated in Matka celebration. It was a happy end to reach the Matka, bringing  smiles and cheers from their peers and teachers.

All the tiny tots who completed UKG in the year 2023-2024 were awarded Graduation certificates by the Joint Secretary Sri. Ch. Vijay Prakash. The Joint Secretary of Sriprakash Educational Institutions Sri Ch. Vijay Prakash urged the parents to spend quality time with children by narrating a moral story, highlighting invaluable life skills and such like instead of providing them expensive things. He also added that the tradition and culture of the country should be practised regularly in the school as well as at home. He shared about the core values of the school such as respect, honesty, punctuality, cleanliness and self- reliance. He informed the parents also to make the children experience these values and follow at home for the better future of the children. On this occasion the children performed dances, narrated stories and recited rhymes. The celebration is a great feast for the parents and children.

The curious minds of grade 1 students went on a fun-filled field trip to a local cloth shop, upon entering the shop, they were greeted by a treasure trove of textures. The vibrant colours of the fabrics captivated the students. The students learned that cotton is natural fibre that breathes and keeps us cool, wool comes from sheep and keeps us warm in winter. Silk is made from silkworms and is very soft. The trip culminated in a creative corner where students could express their imagination. They created colourful collages. This activity helped reinforce their learning and sparkled their creativity.

As they wandered through the stalls, they learned about the various produce, and discovered the names of vegetables and fruits, they had daily. The market visit was a hands-on experience, with the kids touching, feeling and even tasting some of the produce. They had learned about the names, characteristics of various vegetables and fruits.
